The route gradually leaves the Assam plains and climbs into the hills of Arunachal Pradesh. Keep your entry permit and identification easily accessible.
This is a substantial transfer day, so keep the programme focused on the road journey rather than adding sightseeing stops.
On arrival in Ziro, check in at your hotel or homestay and rest.

Spend the day exploring Ziro Valley and its Apatani cultural landscape.
Visit selected traditional villages and observe the valley’s agricultural fields, settlement patterns and surrounding pine-covered hills.
Take time to understand local farming practices, house design and community life rather than treating the villages only as photography stops.
Visit local market or craft areas where appropriate and always ask before photographing residents.
Overnight stay in Ziro.
After an early breakfast, leave Ziro and continue towards Daporijo.
