Arrive at Guwahati Airport or railway station and meet your driver for the road journey towards Nameri.
The original itinerary indicates around 240 km for this sector. The drive travels through the Assam plains towards the Himalayan foothills.
On arrival, check in at your hotel or nature lodge and rest after the journey.
If daylight remains, enjoy the natural surroundings around Nameri rather than adding a long sightseeing programme.
Wildlife sightings should not be promised, as any natural sightings depend on season, habitat and chance.
Overnight stay in Nameri.
After breakfast, leave Nameri and begin the mountain drive towards Dirang.
The original route indicates around 160 km, but mountain roads and entry formalities can make actual travel time longer.
The landscape changes gradually from Assam’s foothills to river valleys, forests and mountain settlements inside Arunachal Pradesh.
On arrival in Dirang, check in and explore the nearby village or monastery area if daylight remains.
