Well Organized Trip
We appreciated our travel designer (Ovijit) was able to customize our trip to add in additional stops and tailor our hotels to what we were looking for.
This 7 Days Yumthang, Dzongu, Temi and Ravangla Tour links North and South Sikkim through a route that combines village life, mountain scenery, high-altitude landscapes and tea country. The journey begins with Dzongu, continues through Chungthang to Lachung and Yumthang Valley, then turns south towards Temi Tea Garden and Ravangla.
The itinerary is suitable for travellers searching for a Dzongu Yumthang tour, Temi Ravangla itinerary or a 7 days offbeat Sikkim tour. It is designed as a more varied route than the usual Gangtok-Pelling circuit, with a strong balance between community, nature and cultural experiences.
Dzongu is best experienced as a community and nature destination. Village visits and interactions should follow local arrangements and respect private homes, customs and photography preferences.
North Sikkim travel depends on permits, weather, road conditions and local administrative instructions. Access can change at short notice because of landslides, snowfall, rain or temporary road restrictions.
Yumthang Valley’s flowers, snow and mountain views vary by season and weather and should never be guaranteed.
Temi Tea Garden is a working estate. Factory or private-area access should only be included when visitor permission has been arranged.
After breakfast, leave Gangtok and travel towards Dzongu.
Continue through the mountain valleys of North Sikkim according to current road and local access conditions.
On arrival, meet your local host or guide where arranged and settle into your accommodation.
Use the remainder of the day for a gentle village walk or scenic exploration rather than a long sightseeing schedule.
Community visits should remain respectful, and entry into homes or private areas should only take place when invited or arranged.
Overnight stay in Dzongu.
Spend the day exploring the Dzongu area at a relaxed pace.
Visit selected village landscapes, local viewpoints, riverside areas or short nature walks according to weather and local arrangements.
The focus should remain on local culture, farming landscapes and the quieter mountain environment rather than a checklist of formal attractions.
If community interaction is arranged, follow the guidance of local hosts and respect photography preferences.
Nature walks should be adjusted for rain, trail conditions and traveller comfort.
Overnight stay in Dzongu.
After breakfast, leave Dzongu and travel towards Chungthang.
Continue through the permitted North Sikkim corridor towards Lachung.
Road and weather conditions can change quickly, so sightseeing stops should remain flexible.
On arrival in Lachung, check in at your accommodation and keep the rest of the day relaxed.
If conditions allow, take a short walk around the publicly accessible village area.
Overnight stay in Lachung.
Start early from Lachung for the excursion towards Yumthang Valley.
Travel through the permitted route according to current permits, road and weather conditions.
Spend time in the valley enjoying the mountain scenery, river landscapes and seasonal vegetation.
Flowers, snow and clear mountain views vary throughout the year and should not be promised.
Any additional high-altitude extension should only be considered when locally permitted and operationally suitable.
Return to Lachung later in the day and relax.
Overnight stay in Lachung.
After breakfast, check out from Lachung and begin the long road journey towards Temi in South Sikkim.
Travel back through the North Sikkim corridor and continue south through the hills.
This is primarily a transfer day, so avoid adding too many sightseeing stops along the route.
Road conditions, landslides and weather can affect travel time significantly.
On arrival in the Temi area, check in at your accommodation and rest.
Overnight stay in the Temi area.
Begin the day with time around Temi Tea Garden and the surrounding tea-growing landscape.
Visit publicly accessible areas or an arranged visitor facility where available.
Tea factory or private estate access should only be included when prior visitor permission has been confirmed.
Continue later towards Ravangla.
On arrival, visit one or two suitable publicly accessible Buddhist or scenic areas according to timing, then check in at your hotel.
Overnight stay in Ravangla.
After breakfast, check out from your Ravangla hotel and begin the return journey towards Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station.
Hill-road travel can be affected by traffic, weather and temporary restrictions, so keep a comfortable buffer before your onward flight or train.
Use practical rest stops along the route where required.
On arrival at Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station, continue with your onward journey.
Your 7 Days Yumthang, Dzongu, Temi and Ravangla Tour concludes after connecting North and South Sikkim through community, nature and tea-country experiences.
Tour concludes at Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station.
