This 7 Days Mandu, Maheshwar, Omkareshwar, Indore and Ujjain Tour brings together some of the strongest cultural and spiritual experiences of Madhya Pradesh. The journey begins in Indore, continues to the historic hill city of Mandu, then follows the Narmada River to Maheshwar and Omkareshwar before concluding with Ujjain.
The itinerary is ideal for travellers who want to combine forts, palaces, riverfront heritage, temple towns and pilgrimage sites in one well-paced Central India route. It offers more depth than a short Indore-Mandu trip while still keeping travel distances practical.
Mandu provides the main architectural focus with royal palaces, mosques, tombs and scenic plateau viewpoints. Maheshwar adds the calm atmosphere of the Narmada ghats, Omkareshwar brings a sacred island setting, and Ujjain completes the journey with ancient temples and one of India's best-known pilgrimage traditions.
The route can be customised according to hotel category, temple timings and preferred sightseeing pace. It can also be extended with Bhopal, Sanchi or additional time in Indore for a broader Madhya Pradesh experience.

Detailed Itinerary
Arrive in Indore and meet your representative for transfer to the hotel.
Depending on arrival time, begin a city tour covering selected heritage landmarks, market areas and local attractions. Indore provides a useful introduction to the Malwa region before the journey continues to Mandu.
In the evening, you may explore the city's well-known food culture and market atmosphere or simply relax at the hotel.
Overnight stay in Indore.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Mandu, the historic hilltop city famous for palaces, mosques, tombs, lakes and panoramic viewpoints.
On arrival, check in and begin a relaxed introduction to selected monuments from the Royal Enclave or nearby groups, depending on arrival time.
Spend the evening enjoying Mandu's quieter atmosphere and elevated plateau setting.
Overnight stay in Mandu.
Spend a full day exploring Mandu. Visit the major royal, religious and civic monument groups spread across the plateau.
Explore palace complexes, mosques, tombs, pavilions and water structures while your guide explains the history and architecture of the former Malwa capital.
The full-day format allows time for photography, viewpoints and smaller monuments that are often missed on a quick excursion from Indore.
Overnight stay in Mandu.
After breakfast, leave Mandu and drive to Maheshwar, a historic riverside town on the banks of the Narmada.
Visit the fort and palace area, walk through the old town and explore the stone ghats and temples overlooking the river.
If interested, allow time to learn about Maheshwar's traditional handloom weaving and the famous Maheshwari textile tradition.
Overnight stay in Maheshwar.
After breakfast, drive to Omkareshwar, a major pilgrimage centre set around the Narmada River.
Visit the principal temple area and explore the ghats and island setting. Temple access and darshan timings can vary, so the programme is best kept flexible.
After sightseeing, continue to Indore and check in at the hotel.
Overnight stay in Indore.
After breakfast, drive from Indore to Ujjain, one of India's oldest and most important pilgrimage cities.
Begin with the main temple circuit, including the Mahakaleshwar area and other important sacred sites according to temple timings and local conditions.
Continue through the old city and riverside areas to experience Ujjain's living religious traditions as well as its historical significance.
Return to Indore after sightseeing or stay in Ujjain according to the final hotel arrangement.
Overnight stay in Indore / Ujjain.
After breakfast, check out according to your onward travel schedule.
If time permits, complete any remaining Indore sightseeing or enjoy a short visit to a local market before departure.
Transfer to Indore Airport, railway station or another agreed departure point.
