6 Days Jaipur Mandawa Bikaner Jaisalmer Tour

6 Days Jaipur Mandawa Bikaner Jaisalmer Tour

5 Nights / 6 Days Jaipur – Mandawa – Bikaner – Jaisalmer

Tour Overview

Experience Rajasthan's royal cities, painted merchant towns and desert landscapes on this 6 Days Jaipur Mandawa Bikaner Jaisalmer Tour. Begin in Jaipur, continue into the Shekhawati region to Mandawa, then travel through Bikaner before reaching Jaisalmer and the Thar Desert.

This itinerary is ideal for travellers who want a compact route through northern and western Rajasthan. Jaipur adds classic Rajput architecture, Mandawa brings fresco-painted havelis, Bikaner offers fortified desert heritage, and Jaisalmer finishes the journey with golden sandstone architecture and a desert stay.

The route moves gradually from Rajasthan's historic capital towards increasingly arid landscapes. Mandawa provides a quieter cultural stop between Jaipur and Bikaner, while Jaisalmer offers a strong finale with its living fort, merchant mansions and desert dunes.

The itinerary can be customised according to hotel category, preferred desert camp, arrival and departure schedule and onward travel plans. It can also be extended to Jodhpur, Udaipur or Delhi as part of a longer Rajasthan tour.

Tour Highlights:

  • Begin in Jaipur and experience the heritage atmosphere of the Pink City.
  • Explore Mandawa's fresco-painted havelis and traditional Shekhawati lanes.
  • Visit Junagarh Fort and discover Bikaner's desert heritage.
  • Travel west through Rajasthan towards the Thar Desert.
  • Explore Jaisalmer Fort and historic merchant havelis.
  • Enjoy a desert experience with sunset views and an overnight camp.
  • Combine Jaipur, Shekhawati, Bikaner and Jaisalmer in one efficient route.

Detailed Itinerary

Arrive in Jaipur, where you will be met at the airport or railway station and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, take some time to relax before beginning your introduction to Rajasthan's capital.

Depending on arrival time, take an orientation drive through the old Pink City and stop near Hawa Mahal.

Later, explore the traditional market streets around Johari Bazaar or Bapu Bazaar, known for jewellery, textiles, block-printed fabrics, handicrafts and other Rajasthani products.

Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Arrival and sightseeing in Jaipur

After breakfast, check out from your Jaipur hotel and drive towards Mandawa in Rajasthan's historic Shekhawati region.

On arrival, check in at your hotel and begin exploring the old town. Mandawa became prosperous through trade and is known for the richly painted mansions built by merchant families.

Walk through the narrow heritage lanes and see traditional havelis decorated with colourful frescoes, carved balconies, courtyards and ornate doorways.

The paintings often depict religious stories, royal scenes, daily life and changing influences from the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Overnight stay in Mandawa.

After breakfast, enjoy a final look at Mandawa's heritage streets before continuing by road to Bikaner.

On arrival, check in at your hotel and begin sightseeing with Junagarh Fort, one of Rajasthan's most impressive fortified palace complexes.

Explore its courtyards, royal apartments, decorative halls and museum collections. Unlike many Rajput forts, Junagarh was built on the plains rather than on a hill.

Later, explore Bikaner's old-city market area and experience its desert culture, traditional snacks, merchant houses and local handicrafts.

Overnight stay in Bikaner.

On arrival, check in at your hotel and relax. Later, enjoy an orientation walk through Jaisalmer's old city, known for its golden sandstone buildings, narrow lanes and traditional market streets.

In the evening, enjoy views of the illuminated fort or explore local shops selling handicrafts, textiles, leatherwork and desert-region products.

Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

Arrival in Jaisalmer golden city

After breakfast, begin sightseeing with Jaisalmer Fort, the living hill fort that dominates the city skyline.

Walk through its narrow lanes, temples, homes and viewpoints before continuing to historic merchant mansions such as Patwon Ki Haveli.

Explore the old market streets and admire the carved golden sandstone façades that reflect Jaisalmer's history as an important desert trading city.

Later, drive towards the desert dunes. Depending on your confirmed package, enjoy a camel ride or jeep activity, sunset views over the dunes and an evening cultural programme at the desert camp.

Overnight stay at a desert camp near Jaisalmer.

Jaisalmer sightseeing and desert camp experience

Enjoy breakfast and a relaxed morning according to your departure schedule. If time permits, return to Jaisalmer city for last-minute shopping or additional sightseeing.

At the appropriate time, transfer to Jaisalmer Airport, railway station or another agreed departure point for your onward journey.

Your 6-day Jaipur, Mandawa, Bikaner and Jaisalmer tour concludes after combining Rajasthan's royal heritage, Shekhawati frescoes, desert forts and the landscapes of the Thar Desert.
