Detailed Itinerary
Meet your driver in Guwahati and begin the journey towards Haflong in Dima Hasao.
This is a long transfer day, so keep the programme focused on the journey with practical meal and rest stops.
As you approach Dima Hasao, the landscape changes from the Assam plains to hill roads, forested valleys and smaller settlements.
On arrival in Haflong, check in at your hotel and relax.
Overnight stay in Haflong.
Spend the day exploring Haflong and its surrounding hill scenery.
Visit Haflong Lake and selected viewpoints or village areas according to current access and weather.
Short walks through the surrounding countryside can be included where practical. Hill paths may be slippery after rain.
Use the afternoon for a relaxed exploration of the town rather than adding a distant road excursion.
Return to your hotel by evening.

After breakfast, travel to Jatinga, located near Haflong.
Learn about the area’s well-known seasonal bird congregation and the ecological explanations associated with this phenomenon.
Bird activity varies with season, weather and natural movement, so sightings should never be guaranteed.
Continue with a suitable village or cultural stop to better understand the diverse communities of Dima Hasao.
Return to Haflong by evening.

After breakfast, travel towards Maibang, an important historic centre of the Dimasa kingdom.
Explore selected ruins, monoliths and heritage areas that are publicly accessible.
Visit the Ramchandi temple area or other suitable archaeological features according to current access.
Take time to understand Maibang’s role in Dimasa history rather than treating it only as a roadside stop.
Return to Haflong after the excursion.

Start after breakfast for an excursion towards Panimoor Falls and the Kopili River landscape.
Enjoy the waterfall from safe, publicly accessible viewpoints and follow local guidance around wet rocks and fast-moving water.
Water volume and spray vary by season, and some approaches can become slippery after rain.
Do not enter unsafe water sections or climb onto wet rocks merely for photographs.
Return towards Haflong after the excursion and keep the evening relaxed.

After breakfast, check out from your Haflong hotel and begin the return journey towards Guwahati.
Keep the day transfer-focused and allow additional time for hill-road conditions, weather and traffic.
If your onward flight or train is early in the day, an additional Guwahati night should be considered instead of planning a tight same-day connection.
On arrival in Guwahati, transfer to the airport, railway station or hotel according to your onward arrangement.
