Tour Overview

Gangtok and Lachung are two of Sikkim's most popular tourist destinations. North Sikkim's Lachung and Yumthang valleys. East Sikkim is home to Gangtok. 06 Days/ 5 Nights all the prominent tourist attractions in Gangtok and Lachung are covered.

Itinerary Details

Day 1 :Bagdogra - Gangtok (125 Km - 4.30 Hours Drive)

After you arrive at Bagdogra airport, our representative will meet you and transfer you to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, a mountainous state in northern India.

Once you reach Gangtok, check into your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Spend the night at the hotel.

Day 2 :Gangtok

Afterward, enjoy a full-day excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir located at an altitude of 12400 feet/3780 meters with an average depth of 50 feet.

The cool waters of Tsomgo Lake are perfectly matched to the scenic beauty around (if Tsomgo Lake is closed due to landslides or for any other reason, alternate sightseeing will be provided).

The hotel offers overnight accommodations.

Day 3 :Gangtok - Lachung (125 Km - 5 Hours Drive)

Continue to Lachung (altitude 8610 ft/120 km) after breakfast. There are also a number of waterfalls out there, including the Seven Sisters Waterfalls and Naga Falls.

In addition, enjoy the picturesque beauty of the hilly roads, the lush forests, and the bubbling brooks. You can also visit Singhik View Point (subject to weather conditions), which offers breathtaking views of Khangchendzonga, Siniolchu, and the lush green hills along the Teesta River flowing below.

Continue to Lachung later on in the day. Check into the hotel in Lachung for the night.

Day 4 :Lachung (Excursion trip to Yumthang Valley of Flowers)

In the afternoon, visit Yumthang Valley, traditionally called the Valley of Flowers (which remains closed in December and March due to heavy snowfall).

Get a chance to see the stunning view of hills covered with trees and vegetation on both sides of the valley on your way to Yumthang.

In the high regions of Yumthang valley, you can find Himalayan Yellow Poppy, which can be found in abundance there.

Return to the hotel after the excursion, stopping en route at the Hot Sulfur Spring. Then, head to Lachung to spend the night.

Day 5 :Lachung - Gangtok (125 Km - 5 Hours Drive)

Leave for Gangtok after breakfast. On arrival, check into your hotel. After freshening up, start exploring Gangtok, visiting the Hanuman Tok, a temple complex dedicated to the Hindu god Hanuman and maintained by the Indian army.

You can also check out Ganesh Tok, Directorate of Handicrafts & Handlooms (closed on Sunday), Namgyal Institute of Tibetology (closed on Sunday), Do Drul Chorten Monastery, and Banjhakri Falls. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 :Gangtok - Bagdogra (125 Km - 4.30 Hours Drive)

After breakfast, our representative will drive you to Bagdogra airport for your departure.
