Tour Overview

Yamunotri is a small town located amidst the beauty of nature. Further, The Yamunotri shrine is the most important thing in the town and the best pilgrimage place for the Hindus. Likewise, taking the route to the Yamunotri shrine is a hard-working and tedious journey.

Either you can go up trekking the hills or even make use of services like baskets and ponies. People find palanquins carrying the passengers from Hanuman Chatti to Yamunotri Shrine. The shrine is located only at the top of the hills.

Itinerary Details

Day 1 :Delhi – Haridwar

The trip starts from the Delhi Airport or the Delhi Railway Station. You will be picked up by the representative and then drive all the way to Haridwar.

You will be transferred to the hotel. In the evening, visit Har Ki Pauri for the Ganga Aarti that looks so surreal and blissful. After having a pleasurable time, get back to your hotel, have dinner and stay the night.

Day 2 : Haridwar - Barkot

The drive is 7 hours covering 220kms. The drive takes place via Dehradun and Mussoorie to reach Barkot.

Go via the Kempty Fall and drive straight to the Barkot hotel to spend the night.

Day 3 :Visit Yamunotri from Barkot

After having an early breakfast at the hotel in Barkot, drive to Hanuman Chatti. Here you will have to trek to reach your destination. Take the local jeeps for the Janki Chatti for reducing the 7 km of trekking time. The trek starts from here to Yamunotri.

You will either walk or even take the horse or Doli but at your own expense. After doing the Darshan at Yamunotri temple, drive to Barkot. Do the overnight stay at the hotel in Barkot.

Day 4 :Return from Barkot to Haridwar

On the 4^th day, drive back to Haridwar. Here, do an overnight stay at a hotel in Haridwar. Have dinner at the hotel or you can even have it outside.

Day 5 :Back to Delhi

After doing the local sightseeing in Haridwar, depart back to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be dropped off at the Railway Station or the Airport at your convenience.
