This 5 Days Ujjain, Omkareshwar and Maheshwar Tour is a focused spiritual and cultural journey through western Madhya Pradesh. The itinerary begins in Ujjain, continues to Omkareshwar, and then follows the Narmada River to Maheshwar before ending in Indore.
The route is ideal for pilgrims, families and culture-focused travellers who want to combine Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar with the quieter riverside heritage of Maheshwar. Rather than rushing between temples in a single day, the programme allows enough time to experience each destination at a more comfortable pace.
Ujjain provides the strongest pilgrimage focus, with a full day for temples and heritage. Omkareshwar adds another important sacred landscape along the Narmada, while Maheshwar brings together temples, ghats, fort architecture and traditional handloom culture.
The tour can be customised according to darshan timings, hotel category and preferred travel pace. It can also be extended to Mandu or Indore for a longer Madhya Pradesh circuit.

Detailed Itinerary
Arrive in Ujjain and meet your representative for transfer to the hotel.
Depending on your arrival time, begin with a relaxed orientation around the old city or visit selected nearby temples before the full sightseeing programme on Day 2.
If your schedule permits, you may also visit the Mahakaleshwar area in the evening, subject to temple access and crowd conditions.
Overnight stay in Ujjain.
After breakfast, spend the day exploring Ujjain in depth.
Visit Mahakaleshwar and other major temples and sacred sites according to temple timings and local conditions. The day can be paced around darshan requirements rather than treated as a rushed sightseeing circuit.
Continue through the old city, ghats and heritage areas while your guide explains Ujjain's importance in Hindu pilgrimage, mythology and the cultural history of Malwa.
Overnight stay in Ujjain.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Omkareshwar, an important pilgrimage centre set around the Narmada River.
On arrival, check in and visit the principal temple area. Explore the ghats, bridges and riverfront surroundings while experiencing the distinctive island setting of the pilgrimage town.
Temple access and darshan times can vary, so the programme should remain flexible according to local conditions.
Overnight stay in Omkareshwar.
After breakfast, check out and continue to Maheshwar, one of the most attractive heritage towns along the Narmada River.
On arrival, visit the fort and palace area, explore important temples and walk along the stone ghats overlooking the river.
If interested, spend time learning about the traditional Maheshwari handloom industry and local textile culture before returning to the hotel.
Overnight stay in Maheshwar.
After breakfast, enjoy any remaining sightseeing in Maheshwar according to your departure schedule.
Later, drive to Indore and transfer to the airport, railway station or another agreed departure point.
Your 5-day Ujjain, Omkareshwar and Maheshwar tour concludes after combining two major pilgrimage centres with the riverside heritage and slower atmosphere of Maheshwar.
