This 5 Days Ujjain, Bhopal, Sanchi and Omkareshwar Tour brings together some of the most important spiritual and cultural destinations in Madhya Pradesh. Starting from Indore, the journey visits Ujjain, continues to Bhopal and Sanchi, and finishes with Omkareshwar.
The itinerary is especially suitable for travellers who want both pilgrimage and heritage in one short journey. Ujjain and Omkareshwar provide the spiritual focus, while Bhopal, Sanchi and Vidisha introduce Buddhist monuments, regional history and urban culture.
The route avoids repeating similar temple experiences every day by balancing sacred sites with archaeology and city sightseeing. A dedicated excursion to Sanchi and Vidisha gives travellers time to understand the region's Buddhist and early historic heritage before continuing south towards Omkareshwar.

Detailed Itinerary
Meet your driver in Indore and begin the journey to Ujjain, one of India's best-known pilgrimage cities.
On arrival, check in at your hotel and begin the temple circuit. Visit the Mahakaleshwar area and other important sacred sites according to temple timings and local conditions.
The programme is kept flexible because queues and darshan arrangements can change during weekends, festivals and important religious dates.
Overnight stay in Ujjain.
After breakfast, continue exploring Ujjain with selected temples, sacred ghats and heritage areas that were not covered on the first day.
This additional sightseeing time helps you experience more of the city than a quick pilgrimage stop and allows the route to be paced around temple schedules.
Later, check out and drive to Bhopal. On arrival, transfer to the hotel and relax after the road journey.
Overnight stay in Bhopal.
After breakfast, leave Bhopal for a full-day excursion to Sanchi.
Explore the main stupas, carved gateways and monastic remains while your guide explains the development of Buddhist architecture and the historical importance of the site.
Continue to Vidisha for selected heritage and archaeological sites. The stop adds useful regional context and makes the day more complete than visiting Sanchi alone.
Return to Bhopal in the evening.
Overnight stay in Bhopal.
After breakfast, explore selected highlights of Bhopal. Depending on your interests and opening hours, include heritage districts, museums, historic mosques or lakeside viewpoints.
Later, check out and begin the drive to Omkareshwar, an important pilgrimage centre on the Narmada River.
On arrival, check in at your hotel. If time permits, enjoy a short walk near the ghats or temple area before the main visit the following morning.

After breakfast, visit the main temple area in Omkareshwar and explore the ghats, bridges and riverfront surroundings.
Temple access and darshan times can vary, so the visit should be planned according to current local arrangements and your onward departure schedule.
Later, drive to Indore and transfer to the airport, railway station or another agreed departure point.
Your 5-day Ujjain, Bhopal, Sanchi and Omkareshwar tour concludes after combining two major pilgrimage destinations with Buddhist archaeology and the cultural heritage of central Madhya Pradesh.
