Tour Overview
This 5 Days Orchha, Khajuraho and Panna Tour combines three very different travel experiences in one compact Madhya Pradesh itinerary. The journey starts in Orchha, where palaces, temples and cenotaphs line the Betwa River, then continues to Khajuraho for its celebrated temple architecture before adding a nature and wildlife day in Panna.
It is a strong choice for travellers who want more variety than a standard heritage circuit. In five days, you experience Bundela history, temple sculpture, forest landscapes, a national park safari and the canyon scenery around Raneh Falls without changing hotels every night.
The itinerary gives Orchha enough time for a proper fort and riverside visit before moving to Khajuraho. A full day in Khajuraho allows you to see more than just the best-known Western Group, while the Panna excursion adds a completely different pace and landscape to the journey.
Wildlife sightings in Panna depend on natural animal movement and cannot be guaranteed. Safari entry is also subject to permit availability and park regulations, so advance planning is recommended. The tour can be extended to Gwalior, Bandhavgarh or Varanasi for a longer Central India trip.

Detailed Itinerary
Arrive in Jhansi by train or road and meet your representative for the short transfer to Orchha.
After hotel check-in, begin with a relaxed introduction to the old town and Betwa River. Walk near the historic cenotaphs and enjoy the riverside views that give Orchha much of its character.
Depending on arrival time, you can also visit selected temples or local heritage areas before returning to the hotel.
Overnight stay in Orchha.
After breakfast, explore the Orchha Fort complex, including major Bundela palaces, courtyards and elevated viewpoints overlooking the old town.
Continue to selected temples and heritage sites before checking out from the hotel. The sightseeing is planned in the morning so you can experience Orchha without rushing and still travel comfortably onward.
Later, drive to Khajuraho. On arrival, check in at your hotel and relax after the road journey.
Overnight stay in Khajuraho.
After breakfast, spend the day exploring Khajuraho in depth. Begin with the famous Western Group of temples and then continue to other important temple clusters around the town.
Your guide can explain the architectural planning, sculpture, religious themes and historical context behind the temples rather than focusing only on the most photographed carvings.
A full day gives you time to appreciate the differences between the temple groups, take photographs and move at a comfortable pace.
Overnight stay in Khajuraho.
Today, travel from Khajuraho to Panna National Park for a wildlife safari, subject to park permits, operating schedules and seasonal conditions.
The park supports a diverse forest ecosystem and a range of wildlife. Sightings, including tiger sightings, depend entirely on natural animal movement and are never guaranteed.
After the safari, continue to Raneh Falls, where the river has cut through a striking rocky gorge. Water levels and the appearance of the falls vary by season, but the canyon landscape itself is worth seeing.
Return to Khajuraho after the excursion and relax at the hotel.
Overnight stay in Khajuraho.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Depending on your flight or train schedule, enjoy some free time for a final walk, shopping or any remaining local visit.
At the appropriate time, transfer to Khajuraho Airport, railway station or another agreed departure point for your onward journey.
Your 5-day Orchha, Khajuraho and Panna tour concludes after combining Bundela heritage, temple architecture, forest landscapes and one of Central India's most rewarding short cultural routes.
