This 5 Days North Sikkim Tour combines Lachen, Lachung and Yumthang Valley in one focused mountain itinerary from Gangtok. The route travels first to Lachen, includes the permitted high-altitude areas around Thangu and Chopta Valley, continues through Chungthang to Lachung, and then visits Yumthang Valley before returning to Gangtok.

After breakfast, leave Gangtok for the journey to Lachen.
Travel on the permitted North Sikkim route after the required documents and permits have been cleared by the relevant authorities.
The road passes mountain valleys, river landscapes and small settlements, with practical stops according to road and weather conditions.
Landslides, heavy rain or temporary road restrictions can affect the journey and arrival time.
On arrival in Lachen, check in at your accommodation and rest before the next day’s high-altitude excursion.
Overnight stay in Lachen.
Start early from Lachen for the permitted high-altitude excursion towards Thangu and Chopta Valley.
Travel only within the areas permitted for your nationality and according to the approvals issued for the day.
Spend time enjoying the mountain landscapes, valleys and seasonal scenery while keeping the pace appropriate for the altitude.
Gurudongmar Lake is not guaranteed within this itinerary. Eligible Indian travellers may request it separately, subject to permit approval, road access and local instructions.
Foreign travellers should follow the currently permitted sightseeing limit and use the approved alternative programme.
Return to Lachen after the excursion and rest.
Overnight stay in Lachen.
After breakfast, check out from Lachen and begin the road journey towards Chungthang.
Continue through the North Sikkim valley system towards Lachung.
Stops along the way should remain flexible because road, traffic and weather conditions can change quickly in the mountains.
On arrival in Lachung, check in at your accommodation and spend the rest of the day at a relaxed pace.
If local conditions allow, take a short walk around the publicly accessible village area.
Overnight stay in Lachung.
Start early from Lachung for the excursion towards Yumthang Valley.
Travel through the permitted route according to current road, weather and local administrative conditions.
Spend time in the valley enjoying the mountain scenery, river landscapes and seasonal vegetation.
Flowers, snow and clear mountain views vary throughout the year and should not be promised.
Any additional high-altitude extension should only be considered when it is legally permitted and operationally safe on the day.
Return to Lachung later in the day and relax.
Overnight stay in Lachung.
After breakfast, check out from your Lachung accommodation and begin the return journey towards Gangtok.
Travel through the North Sikkim mountain corridor with practical stops according to road and weather conditions.
Landslides, traffic or temporary road controls can affect travel time, so avoid planning a tight onward flight or train connection on the same day.
On arrival in Gangtok, transfer to your hotel or continue with your separately arranged programme.
