Well Organized Trip
We appreciated our travel designer (Ovijit) was able to customize our trip to add in additional stops and tailor our hotels to what we were looking for.
Combine Rajasthan heritage, birdlife and wildlife on this 5 Days Jaipur Bharatpur Ranthambore Tour. Begin in Jaipur with forts, palaces and colourful bazaars, continue to Bharatpur for the wetlands of Keoladeo National Park, then travel to Ranthambore for a jungle safari.
This itinerary is a good choice for travellers who want to combine classic Rajasthan sightseeing with two different nature experiences in a short route. Jaipur brings royal architecture, Bharatpur offers excellent seasonal birding, and Ranthambore adds the excitement of a tiger-reserve landscape before the journey concludes.
The route moves logically through eastern Rajasthan without unnecessary backtracking. Keoladeo National Park is especially rewarding for bird lovers, while Ranthambore's dry forest, lakes, rocky ridges and historic ruins create a completely different wildlife setting.
Safari permits and zones in Ranthambore are controlled by the forest authorities and are subject to availability. The itinerary can be customised according to your preferred hotel category, safari schedule and onward travel plans.
Arrive in Jaipur, where you will be met at the airport or railway station and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, take some time to relax before beginning your introduction to Rajasthan's historic capital.
Depending on your arrival time, take an orientation drive through the old Pink City and stop near Hawa Mahal, one of Jaipur's most recognisable monuments.
Later, explore the traditional bazaars around the old city. Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar are known for jewellery, textiles, block-printed fabrics, handicrafts and other Rajasthani products.
The evening is free to relax or continue exploring the market area at your own pace.
Overnight stay in Jaipur.
After breakfast, begin a full day of Jaipur sightseeing with Amber Fort, the impressive hilltop fortress that served as the earlier seat of Jaipur's Rajput rulers.
Explore the fort's courtyards, gateways, halls and royal apartments, then return towards the city with a photo stop near Jal Mahal in Man Sagar Lake.
Continue to the City Palace, where museums, courtyards and royal buildings reflect Jaipur's political and artistic history.
Nearby, visit Jantar Mantar, the eighteenth-century astronomical observatory built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II.
Later, return to the old city for a closer look at Hawa Mahal and the surrounding market streets before returning to the hotel.
Overnight stay in Jaipur.
After breakfast, check out from the Jaipur hotel and drive towards Bharatpur, one of India's most important birding destinations.
On arrival, check in at your hotel and later visit Keoladeo National Park, formerly known as the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. The protected wetland supports a wide variety of resident and migratory bird species depending on the season.
Explore the park by cycle rickshaw, bicycle or on foot according to local arrangements. Birds commonly observed can include storks, herons, egrets, kingfishers, ducks, raptors and numerous woodland species.
The park also provides opportunities to observe the quieter wetland landscapes, grazing mammals and smaller wildlife that inhabit the reserve.
Overnight stay in Bharatpur.
After breakfast, leave Bharatpur and continue by road towards Ranthambore, one of India's best-known wildlife destinations.
On arrival, check in at your wildlife resort or hotel and enjoy some time to relax. Ranthambore's landscape combines dry deciduous forest, lakes, grassland, rocky ridges and historic ruins.
Depending on arrival time and confirmed safari permits, an afternoon safari may be possible. Otherwise, spend the rest of the day at leisure and prepare for the following morning's wildlife experience.
Safari zones and timings are allocated by the forest authorities and are subject to availability and seasonal operating conditions.
Overnight stay in Ranthambore.
Begin the day with an early morning wildlife safari in Ranthambore National Park , subject to confirmed forest permits.
Ranthambore is famous for Bengal tigers, although sightings can never be guaranteed. Other wildlife may include sambar deer, spotted deer, nilgai, wild boar, langurs, crocodiles and many species of birds.
Return to the hotel after the safari for breakfast and check out according to your departure schedule.
At the appropriate time, transfer to Sawai Madhopur Railway Station or another agreed departure point for your onward journey. Additional transfers to Jaipur or other destinations can also be arranged if required.
Your 5-day Jaipur, Bharatpur and Ranthambore tour concludes after combining Rajasthan's royal heritage, wetland birdlife and one of India's most famous wildlife reserves.
Tour concludes at Ranthambore / Sawai Madhopur.
