This 5 Days Indore, Mandu, Maheshwar and Omkareshwar Tour brings together four of western Madhya Pradesh's most rewarding destinations in one well-connected route. The journey begins in Indore, continues to the historic plateau city of Mandu, then follows the Narmada region through Maheshwar and Omkareshwar.
The itinerary is ideal for travellers who want a balanced mix of architecture, local culture, riverfront heritage and spirituality without spending too much time on long transfers. Each day has a distinct focus, which keeps the journey varied and easy to follow.
Indore provides an urban introduction to the Malwa region, while Mandu offers the strongest architectural experience with palaces, mosques, tombs and hilltop viewpoints. Maheshwar adds a slower riverside atmosphere with fort architecture, ghats and weaving traditions, and Omkareshwar completes the route with an important pilgrimage setting on the Narmada.
Temple access and darshan timings can vary, so the Omkareshwar visit should remain flexible. Travellers with more time can extend the tour to Ujjain, Dhar or Bhopal for a longer Madhya Pradesh itinerary.

Detailed Itinerary
Arrive in Indore by flight, train or road. Meet your representative and transfer to the hotel for check-in.
Begin with selected city highlights, including heritage areas, palace architecture, traditional markets or other cultural attractions according to your arrival time.
In the evening, you may explore Indore's food and market culture or simply relax before the road journey to Mandu the following morning.
Overnight stay in Indore.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Mandu, a former fortified hill city spread across the Malwa plateau.
On arrival, begin exploring the principal monument groups, including selected palaces, pavilions, mosques, tombs and water structures.
The day is planned at a comfortable pace so you can understand Mandu's history and architecture rather than moving quickly between isolated photo stops.
Overnight stay in Mandu.
After breakfast, continue exploring the southern section of Mandu, where smaller monuments, pavilions and viewpoints reveal another side of the historic city.
This additional sightseeing time is useful because Mandu covers a large area and is difficult to appreciate fully in a short single visit.
Later, drive to Maheshwar. On arrival, check in at your hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening near the Narmada River.
Overnight stay in Maheshwar.
After breakfast, explore Maheshwar, beginning with the fort and palace area overlooking the Narmada.
Walk along the stone ghats, visit important temples and spend some time in the old town. Travellers interested in local crafts can also learn about the Maheshwari weaving tradition.
Later, drive to Omkareshwar. On arrival, check in at your hotel and enjoy a short riverfront walk if time permits.
Overnight stay in Omkareshwar.
After breakfast, visit the principal temple area in Omkareshwar and explore the nearby ghats, bridges and riverfront surroundings.
Darshan and temple access can vary depending on the day, festival calendar and crowd levels, so the visit should be timed according to current local conditions.
Later, drive back to Indore and transfer to the airport, railway station or another agreed departure point.
Your 5-day Indore, Mandu, Maheshwar and Omkareshwar tour concludes after combining Malwa architecture, Narmada riverfront heritage and one of the region's most important pilgrimage centres.
