This 5 Days Gwalior, Jhansi and Orchha Heritage Tour combines three important historic destinations across northern Madhya Pradesh and Bundelkhand. The journey begins in Gwalior, continues through Jhansi and then reaches Orchha, where palaces, temples and riverside monuments create one of Central India's most atmospheric heritage settings.
The itinerary is ideal for travellers interested in forts, royal palaces, Bundela architecture, colonial-era history and smaller historic towns. It offers a strong cultural route without requiring long daily transfers.
Gwalior provides the strongest fort and palace experience, Jhansi adds an important historical layer connected with nineteenth-century India, and Orchha offers a slower pace with palace complexes, temples, cenotaphs and the Betwa River.
The tour can be customised according to arrival and departure timings, hotel category and sightseeing interests. It can also be extended to Khajuraho, Shivpuri or Panna for a longer Central India itinerary.

Detailed Itinerary
Arrive in Gwalior by train, flight or road. Meet your representative and transfer to the hotel for check-in.
Begin with selected palace and city sightseeing. Depending on your arrival time, explore royal residences, museum collections and important urban landmarks that introduce the city's princely history.
The first day is intentionally lighter so you can settle in before the more extensive Gwalior Fort programme on Day 2.
Overnight stay in Gwalior.
After breakfast, spend the day exploring Gwalior Fort, the landmark that dominates the city skyline.
Visit major palaces, temples, gateways and historic structures within the fortified complex. The site reflects multiple periods of Gwalior's history and is best appreciated with enough time for both architecture and viewpoints.
Later, continue with any remaining city sightseeing according to your interests, including important cultural or memorial sites.
Overnight stay in Gwalior.
After breakfast, check out and begin the journey towards Jhansi, one of the most historically important cities in Bundelkhand.
Depending on timing, visit Jhansi Fort or selected landmarks before continuing to Orchha.
On arrival in Orchha, check in at your hotel and enjoy a relaxed introduction to the old town and Betwa River surroundings.
Overnight stay in Orchha.
After breakfast, spend the day exploring Orchha in depth.
Visit the Orchha Fort complex, including major palaces and courtyards associated with the Bundela rulers. Continue to important temples and riverside heritage sites.
Walk along the Betwa River to see the cenotaphs and enjoy views of Orchha's skyline. The compact layout makes the destination particularly rewarding for travellers who prefer slower, more atmospheric heritage sightseeing.
Overnight stay in Orchha.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin the return journey to Gwalior.
Depending on your onward train or flight schedule, stop for a meal or short break during the drive.
On arrival in Gwalior, transfer to the airport, railway station or another agreed departure point.
Your 5-day Gwalior, Jhansi and Orchha heritage tour concludes after combining a major hill fort, royal palaces, Bundelkhand history and Orchha's riverside architecture.

- 7 days or less before arrival, or no-show: 100% cancellation charge (no refund).
