Meet your driver in Guwahati and begin the road journey west towards Barpeta.
On arrival, visit Barpeta Satra, one of Assam’s important Vaishnavite religious and cultural centres.
Explore only publicly accessible areas and follow local instructions regarding dress, photography and entry during prayers or ceremonies.
Use the remaining time for a quiet local orientation rather than adding a long excursion.
Overnight stay in Barpeta.
After breakfast, leave Barpeta and continue towards Manas National Park.
On arrival, check in at your lodge and complete the required safari formalities according to current park arrangements.
In the afternoon, take a scheduled safari in the permitted range if your booking and park conditions allow.
Manas includes grassland, forest and riverine habitats that support a wide range of wildlife and birdlife, but sightings of any particular species are never guaranteed.
Return to the lodge by evening and relax.
