Detailed Itinerary
Arrive at Jorhat Airport or railway station and meet your driver for the start of your Assam journey.
Transfer to your hotel and complete check-in.
Depending on arrival time, include a light local orientation such as a market, tea-related stop or another nearby attraction.
Keep the first day relaxed because the journey to Majuli begins the following morning.
Overnight stay in Jorhat.
After breakfast, leave Jorhat and travel to the locally operating ferry or river-crossing point for Majuli Island.
Board the local crossing according to the day’s operating schedule.
Ferry timings and boarding points can change with river level, weather and local operational conditions.
After reaching Majuli, transfer to your accommodation and begin exploring the island’s rural landscape.
Visit selected village or cultural areas if daylight permits.
Overnight stay in Majuli.
Begin the morning with cultural sightseeing on Majuli Island.
Visit selected satras where public access is permitted and learn about Assam’s Vaishnavite traditions.
Depending on the programme, also visit villages associated with mask-making, weaving, pottery or other traditional crafts.
Later, return to the river crossing and continue by road towards Kaziranga National Park.
On arrival, check in at your wildlife lodge and rest.
Overnight stay in Kaziranga.
Begin the day with your scheduled wildlife experience inside Kaziranga National Park.
Explore the assigned park range by authorised safari vehicle according to the permits issued for the day.
Kaziranga’s grasslands, wetlands and woodland support rhinoceros, wild buffalo, elephants, deer and many bird species, but no specific sighting can be guaranteed.
Return to your lodge for meals and rest between safari sessions.
If a second safari is included, it will depend on permit availability and park operations.
Overnight stay in Kaziranga.
After breakfast, check out from your Kaziranga hotel and begin the road journey towards Guwahati.
Travel west through the Assam plains with practical meal and rest stops.
Keep a comfortable time buffer before your onward flight or train.
Transfer to Guwahati Airport or railway station for departure.
