Tour Overview
This 5 Days Aritar, Zuluk and Nathang Valley Tour follows one of East Sikkim’s most scenic road journeys, connecting Aritar with the historic Old Silk Route landscapes around Zuluk, Thambi View Point, Nathang Valley and Kupup before descending towards Rongli.
The itinerary is suitable for eligible travellers searching for a Zuluk tour package, Sikkim Old Silk Route tour or an Aritar Zuluk Nathang Valley itinerary. It combines lakes, mountain roads, high-altitude viewpoints and small settlements in a compact five-day route.
Zuluk and the Old Silk Route are permit-controlled areas. The itinerary should only be confirmed after checking current nationality eligibility, permit rules and approved vehicle arrangements.
Under current Sikkim Tourism rules, foreign tourists are not permitted to visit Zuluk. This package is therefore primarily suitable for eligible Indian travellers unless regulations change before travel.
Nathang Valley and the higher Old Silk Route sections are sensitive to snowfall, fog, landslides, road closures and military or administrative restrictions. The route can change at short notice.
Clear views from Thambi View Point, Kupup and other high-altitude stops depend completely on weather and visibility and should never be guaranteed.

Detailed Itinerary
Arrive at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station and meet your driver for the journey towards Aritar in East Sikkim.
Travel through the foothills and continue towards the eastern hills along winding roads and rural landscapes.
Road conditions and travel time can vary with traffic, weather and temporary hill-road restrictions.
On arrival in Aritar, check in at your accommodation and keep the rest of the day relaxed.
If arrival timing allows, take a short walk around the local area without adding a long sightseeing programme.
Overnight stay in Aritar.
Begin the day with selected sightseeing around Aritar.
Visit Lampokhari Lake and other suitable local viewpoints or publicly accessible attractions according to weather and opening conditions.
Later, continue towards Zuluk after completing the required permit formalities for the protected route.
The road becomes more remote as you enter the Old Silk Route region, so the final sequence depends on permit clearance, road conditions and local instructions.
On arrival in Zuluk, check in at your accommodation and rest.
Overnight stay in Zuluk.
Start early from Zuluk and continue along the permitted Old Silk Route towards Thambi View Point.
Stop at suitable viewpoints when road, weather and security conditions permit.
Clear Himalayan views depend entirely on visibility. Fog, cloud or snowfall can significantly change the experience.
Continue towards Nathang Valley, travelling only through the sections cleared for the day.
Spend the remaining time exploring the publicly accessible valley area at a relaxed pace.
Overnight stay in Nathang Valley or the permitted nearby area.
After breakfast, leave Nathang Valley and continue along the approved route towards Kupup.
Stop at suitable high-altitude viewpoints, lakes or publicly accessible areas according to permits, weather and local instructions.
The exact stopping pattern can change because this is a sensitive border-region route and access may be restricted without advance notice.
Continue downhill towards Rongli as the landscape gradually changes from high-altitude terrain to lower eastern Sikkim hills.
On arrival, check in at your accommodation and relax.
Overnight stay in Rongli.
After breakfast, check out from your accommodation in Rongli and begin the return journey towards Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station.
Hill-road travel can be affected by traffic, weather and temporary restrictions, so keep a comfortable buffer before your onward flight or train.
Use practical rest stops along the route where required.
On arrival at Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station, continue with your onward journey.
Your 5 Days Aritar, Zuluk and Nathang Valley Tour concludes after travelling through East Sikkim and the historic Old Silk Route landscapes.
