Itinerary Details
Day 1 :Mumbai - Mahabaleshwar (250 Km - 5.30 Hours Drive)
A Tusk Travel representative will pick you up from your hotel in Mumbai or the airport in Mumbai (according to your preference) and transfer you directly to Mahabaleshwar by road.
As soon as you arrive in Mahabaleshwar, check into your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. You will stay overnight in your hotel.
Day 2 :Mahabaleshwar
Afterward, head out to explore the twin hill stations of Mahabaleshwar. Home to strawberry farms, Parsi (Zoroastrian) Heritage bungalows, and panoramic views of the Sahyadri Hills and Koyna Valley. Besides offering a pleasant walk and great views, the twin hills have historical connections with Shivaji Maharaj.
See the panorama of the hills and valleys at the various Eco Points. You can also visit Mount Malcolm, the Catholic Church, the Mahabaleshwar Club, and Morarji Castle. Take a boat ride on the famous Veena Lake in the evening. There's also horseback riding on the lake. The hotel offers overnight stays.
Day 3 :Mahabaleshwar (Visit Panchgani)
Leave after breakfast for a full day of sightseeing in Panchgani. There are beautiful hills all around Panchgani ("Panch means five" and "Gani means hill"), which is famous among tourists due to its proximity to Mahabaleshwar.
In addition to its strawberry and raspberry farms, Panchgani is known for its boarding schools. Discover the beauty of Panchgani close to nature. Spend the night at a hotel in Mahabaleshwar.
Day 4 :Mahabaleshwar (Visit Pratapgad)
Take a tour of Pratapgad and see the pride of the Maratha Empire. In 1656, it was built with ponds, hallways, chambers, and trap doors opening to a 100-meter drop. The fort is a popular tourist destination since it was the site of the Battle of Pratapgad.
During the reign of Shivaji Maharaj, Afzal Khan, the mighty general of Bijapur, met his untimely death in Pratapgad. As the evening progresses, your driver will return you to Mahabaleshwar for the night.
Day 5 :Depart Mahabaleshwar
In the morning, you will be transferred to your hotel or to the airport in Mumbai for your onward flight.
