This 3 Days Orchha and Jhansi Heritage Tour is a compact Bundelkhand itinerary for travellers who want to combine the riverside palaces and temples of Orchha with the historic fort and legacy of Jhansi. The route is short, practical and particularly suitable for travellers arriving by train through Jhansi.
Orchha is the main focus of the journey. Its fort complex, palaces, temples, cenotaphs and Betwa River setting offer a quieter alternative to larger heritage cities. The final day adds Jhansi, creating a useful link between Bundela architecture and nineteenth-century Indian history.
The itinerary gives a full day to Orchha so you can explore the main monuments without rushing. This is especially useful for travellers interested in architecture, photography and smaller historic towns where the old city can still be explored at a relaxed pace.
The tour can be combined with Khajuraho, Gwalior or Panna for a longer Central India itinerary.

Detailed Itinerary
Arrive in Jhansi by train or road and meet your representative for the transfer to Orchha.
On arrival, check in at your hotel and take some time to relax. Later, begin with a gentle orientation around the old town and the Betwa River.
Depending on arrival time, visit the riverside cenotaphs or selected temples and enjoy the quieter atmosphere that makes Orchha different from larger heritage cities.
Overnight stay in Orchha.
After breakfast, spend the day exploring Orchha in depth.
Start with the Orchha Fort complex, where major palaces, courtyards and elevated viewpoints reflect the architectural style of the Bundela rulers.
Continue to important temples and then walk towards the Betwa River to see the cenotaphs that form one of Orchha's most distinctive skyline views.
The compact layout makes it easy to combine guided sightseeing with some slower walking time through the old town and riverside areas.
Overnight stay in Orchha.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive back to Jhansi.
Visit Jhansi Fort and selected city landmarks according to your departure timing. The sightseeing adds useful historical context to the Bundelkhand region after the palace and temple architecture of Orchha.
At the appropriate time, transfer to Jhansi railway station or your agreed departure point for the onward journey.

- 60 days or more before arrival: 10% cancellation charge.
- 59–30 days before arrival: 20% cancellation charge.
- 29–15 days before arrival: 25% cancellation charge.
- 14–8 days before arrival: 50% cancellation charge.
- 7 days or less before arrival, or no-show: 100% cancellation charge (no refund).
- Issued flight, train, permit and special-event bookings may be non-refundable.
