This 3 Days Indore, Mhow and Patalpani Tour is a short and practical itinerary for travellers who want to combine the heritage and food culture of Indore with a countryside excursion to Mhow and Patalpani.
The trip works well as a weekend break or an easy introduction to western Madhya Pradesh. It includes historic palaces, old-city landmarks, modern Indore and a scenic final-day drive outside the city, without requiring frequent hotel changes or long road journeys.
Indore is the main base for all three days, which keeps the itinerary comfortable. The first two days focus on the city's royal and cultural heritage, while the final excursion introduces a greener landscape around Mhow and Patalpani.
Patalpani is a seasonal waterfall, so water flow can vary considerably through the year. During the monsoon and immediately after heavy rain, visitors should follow local safety instructions and avoid restricted or slippery areas. The route can also be extended to Mandu, Maheshwar or Omkareshwar.

Detailed Itinerary
Arrive in Indore by flight, train or road. Meet your representative and transfer to the hotel for check-in.
Begin with the historic heart of the city, visiting selected royal and old-city landmarks that introduce Indore's Holkar-era heritage and traditional market areas.
Depending on your arrival time, continue with a walk through a central bazaar or enjoy some free time to experience the city's local food scene.
Overnight stay in Indore.
After breakfast, continue the city tour with a visit to Lal Bagh Palace, an important reminder of Indore's princely past.
Spend time exploring the palace and then continue to selected modern attractions, public spaces or cultural areas depending on your interests and opening hours.
The second day is intentionally different from the old-city focus of Day 1, giving you a broader view of how Indore has developed while retaining its historic identity.
In the evening, you may revisit a favourite market or enjoy a relaxed dinner in the city.
Overnight stay in Indore.
After breakfast, check out and drive towards Mhow, a town west of Indore with a different landscape and historical character.
Continue to Patalpani Waterfall, a popular natural stop in the surrounding countryside. The waterfall is seasonal, and both water flow and access conditions vary according to recent rainfall.
Spend some time enjoying the scenery from safe designated areas. During wet weather, follow local restrictions carefully and avoid slippery edges or fast-flowing water channels.
Later, return to Indore and transfer to the airport, railway station or another agreed departure point.
Your 3-day Indore, Mhow and Patalpani tour concludes after combining city heritage, palace architecture and a relaxed nature excursion.

- 60 days or more before arrival: 10% cancellation charge.
- 59–30 days before arrival: 20% cancellation charge.
- 29–15 days before arrival: 25% cancellation charge.
- 14–8 days before arrival: 50% cancellation charge.
- 7 days or less before arrival, or no-show: 100% cancellation charge (no refund).
- Issued flight, train, permit and special-event bookings may be non-refundable.
