Well Organized Trip
We appreciated our travel designer (Ovijit) was able to customize our trip to add in additional stops and tailor our hotels to what we were looking for.
This 10-day Western India 7 Jyotirlinga tour is designed for devotees who wish to cover seven of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva across Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. The journey includes Nageshwar, Somnath, Mahakaleshwar, Omkareshwar, Bhimashankar, Trimbakeshwar and Grishneshwar Jyotirlingas in one well-connected pilgrimage route.
The tour begins in Ahmedabad and moves towards Dwarka, one of the most sacred cities in Gujarat. Here, travellers visit Dwarkadhish Temple and Nageshwar Jyotirlinga before continuing along Gujarat’s coastal route to Somnath. Somnath Temple, located beside the Arabian Sea, is traditionally regarded as the first among the twelve Jyotirlingas.
From Gujarat, the journey continues by flight to Indore for the Madhya Pradesh section of the Yatra. Pilgrims visit Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga in Ujjain, one of India’s most important Shiva temples, followed by Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga on the sacred Narmada River.
The final part of the tour covers Maharashtra’s three Jyotirlingas. The route includes Bhimashankar in the Sahyadri Hills, Trimbakeshwar near Nashik and Grishneshwar near Aurangabad. A visit to Shirdi Sai Baba Temple and Ellora Caves can also be included, making this itinerary spiritually meaningful as well as culturally rich.
This 7 Jyotirlinga tour package is ideal for families, senior travellers, pilgrimage groups and devotees looking for a complete Western India spiritual circuit with domestic flights, private transfers, temple darshan and well-planned overnight halts. Temple timings, special puja procedures, Aarti passes, flight schedules and road conditions remain subject to local rules and availability.
Arrive at Ahmedabad Airport or railway station, where our representative will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel. Ahmedabad is one of Gujarat’s main travel gateways and offers smooth connections from major Indian cities.
After check-in, take time to relax after your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may visit Sabarmati Ashram, the Sabarmati Riverfront or a nearby local market. These sightseeing options can be adjusted according to your schedule.
The evening is free for rest before beginning the long pilgrimage journey towards Dwarka the following morning. Overnight stay in Ahmedabad.

The transfer can be arranged by private road journey or with a short domestic flight connection, depending on your final package plan and travel preferences.
For road travel, the journey passes through Gujarat’s changing countryside and Saurashtra region. For guests using a flight connection, airport transfers and onward road arrangements will be planned according to the confirmed flight schedule.
On arrival in Dwarka, check in at the hotel and relax. In the evening, you may take a short walk near Gomti Ghat or the Dwarkadhish Temple area, where the atmosphere is especially peaceful after sunset.
Overnight stay in Dwarka.
After breakfast, begin your spiritual sightseeing in Dwarka with a visit to Dwarkadhish Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna and one of the most important temples in the Char Dham pilgrimage circuit. The temple is known for its traditional architecture, devotional rituals and sacred location near Gomti Ghat.
Later, proceed to Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. The shrine is located near Dwarka and is an important stop for devotees visiting the western Gujarat pilgrimage route.
Depending on time and sea conditions, continue towards Okha for a boat ride to Bet Dwarka. This island is traditionally associated with Lord Krishna and is visited by pilgrims for its temples and spiritual setting. Boat operations and Bet Dwarka access depend on weather and local conditions.
Return to Dwarka by evening. Overnight stay in Dwarka.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin the coastal drive from Dwarka to Somnath. The route travels through the scenic Saurashtra region, with open landscapes, small towns and glimpses of Gujarat’s coastal character.

After darshan, continue towards Trimbakeshwar near Nashik. This is a long travel day, so the route and start time are planned carefully to allow enough time for temple visits, meal breaks and road travel.

Visit Samadhi Mandir, Dwarkamai and Chavadi, subject to temple timings, entry arrangements and crowd conditions. Guests may also attend Aarti if the travel schedule and pass availability allow.
Later, continue to Aurangabad and check in at the hotel. The evening is free for rest before the final Jyotirlinga darshan the next morning. Overnight stay in Aurangabad.
After an early breakfast, drive towards Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga, located near Verul village close to Ellora Caves. Grishneshwar is the seventh and final Jyotirlinga included in this Western India Yatra.

After sightseeing, travel to Mumbai for departure. Depending on your preferred schedule, this transfer can be arranged by domestic flight from Aurangabad or by a long road journey. On arrival in Mumbai, transfer to the airport, railway station or hotel for onward travel.
