It is trendy for growing different varieties of teas. Its old tea factory was structured in the 20th century. The factory uses the traditional method of tea plantations. Visitors can reach out from the Munnar city centre, which covers 31 kms from the city centre. Munnar is well connected with other towns via buses, cabs and taxis. It will take only 1 hr 30 mins from the main town to reach a Kolukkumalai tea estate. Buses are available to reach there.
