Detailed Itinerary
Arrive at Paro Airport on one of the world’s most scenic flights, offering views of Himalayan peaks including Mount Jomolhari on clear days. After meeting your guide, transfer to your hotel.
In the afternoon, begin sightseeing with a visit to Ta Dzong (National Museum), followed by Paro Rinpung Dzong, an architectural masterpiece overlooking the Paro Valley. Continue to Dungtse Lhakhang, a unique chorten-style temple.
Overnight stay in Paro.
After breakfast, drive to Punakha, crossing Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress in Bhutan. Continue to Dochula Pass (3,140 m), famous for its 108 memorial chortens and panoramic Himalayan views.
Descend into the warmer Punakha Valley and check in at the hotel. The evening is free to relax amidst riverside scenery.

Visit Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most impressive fortresses, dramatically located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers.
Continue to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, reached by a scenic walk through farmland and villages. En route, visit Chimi Lhakhang, the fertility temple associated with Lama Drukpa Kunley.
Overnight stay in Punakha.
After breakfast, drive to Gangtey Valley (Phobjikha), one of Bhutan’s most beautiful glacial valleys. On arrival, visit the Black-necked Crane Information Centre to learn about this rare migratory species.
Explore Gangtey Monastery and enjoy a peaceful nature walk through the valley, interacting with local villagers and enjoying unspoiled landscapes.

Drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital city. Upon arrival, visit the Memorial Chorten, an important spiritual site for locals, followed by Changangkha Lhakhang offering panoramic valley views.
In the evening, enjoy a relaxed walk through Thimphu town, observing daily Bhutanese life.

Explore Thimphu’s key attractions including BBS Tower viewpoint, Takin enclosure, Zilukha Nunnery, National Library, Folk Heritage Museum, Arts & Crafts Institute, paper factory, and Tashichho Dzong.
In the afternoon, drive back to Paro and check in at the hotel.

Begin the day with the highlight of the trip—the hike to Taktsang Monastery, famously known as Tiger’s Nest. Perched 900 meters above the valley, this sacred site is Bhutan’s most iconic landmark.
After the hike, visit the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, with views of Mount Jomolhari on clear days.
