On this two-day journey, enjoy the attractions of Bhutan, including the capital, Thimpu, and the stunning scenery around the Takstang monastery.
Arrival in the morning by plane to Paro airport. Drive to Thimphu and lunch. In the afternoon, see the point of Buddha, gigantic statue with a great view of the city of Thimphu.
Watch the devotees paying homage to the 3rd king of Bhutan at the Memorial Chorten. See the Takin, the national animal of Bhutan.
Time to visit other places of interest. Conclude the visit of Thimphu in Tashichhho dzong, the seat of the king and the government. Drive back to Paro.
Today you need to wake up and leave the hotel very early. Go up to Taktsang gompa (tiger's nest). The trip that includes the visit of the temples lasts approximately from 4 to 5 hours.
In the afternoon visit of the National Museum and Paro dzong (Rinpung dzong), the castle-monastery where the film The Little Buddha by Bernardo Bertolucci was filmed.
Driving to the pristine Kyichu lhakhang is one of the two oldest temples built in Bhutan. Afternoon exploring the town.
If time permits, you can visit Drukyel dzong, the ruins of the castle from where you can see the top of the sacred mountain of Jomolhari when the weather is fine.
After that, it will leave Paro by plane or it will take 6 hours by car to reach the border in Phuntsholing.
