About Sri Lanka

As already known Colombo is the capital of SriLanka and a Legislative Capital. For its convenience, the country has been divided into nine provinces and 25 districts. The country is a thickly populated country and the average population of the country is poor.

The country has a great variation of culture and traditions. Regarding irrigation, it has been seen that the country has a lot of valleys and the people carry out some cultivation works in the valley. You can also come across various types of crystalline formation of rocks. Some of them are granite, quartzite and similar other ones.

The climate of SriLanka:

Because of the tropical location of the country, it mainly faces the hot and humid type of climate. The temperature remains high throughout the year and the sun shines brightly. Most of the places receive an average rainfall of 50cm.

Some regions are named as dry zones and wet zones. They are so named because of the amount of rainfall on those areas. Droughts persist in some areas for more than 3 months.

The natural life of SriLanka:

Natural vegetation covers one-third of the total area. It is seen that in the dry zones one can get to see deciduous trees and some shrubs. However, Mahogany, teak and other types of trees are also found in these areas.

Regarding the wildlife of this place, people can see various types of elephants, leopards, buffalo and bears in these areas. They are very common.

This country has a mixed population. However, the majority of the population is Tamils. You can also get to see people from other countries and regions in SriLanka. 90% of the population of this country is Buddhists. They have a big community. About 7% of the population is Christians.
