Saudi Arabia lifts COVID travel ban for its citizens traveling to India

Saudi Arabia has finally lifted its travel restrictions from India, Turkey, Ethiopia, and Vietnam. Today, the people of Saudi can travel to these countries with no limits. After one week, the government dropped additional measures against the Coronavirus. This includes wearing masks indoors and the requirement of a vaccination certificate to be able to access public places.

The Kingdom has confirmed that the public will have to wear face masks in areas such as the Grand Mosque in Mecca and other locations under the Saudi Public Health Authority Weqaya.

It has extended the vaccination period to Saudi Arabian citizens who want to travel internationally. In the past, travelers were required to take the third dose of booster within three months from the second, and the time for this is now increased by eight months.

The Kingdom lifted a range of restrictions related to the pandemic earlier in the year, in March. The list goes on, from mask mandates to social distancing, to PCR testing and quarantine guidelines.

The basic Entry Requirements for travelers to Saudi Arabia:

Travelers planning to visit Saudi Arabia must download the “Tawakkalna” mobile app within the first 8 hours of arriving in the Kingdom. They must also be covered by current medical insurance covering all COVID-19 expenses throughout their stay.

In addition, travelers must complete an online registration form for immunizations that should be filled out within 72 hours before departure.

If you are not vaccination-free, you will be required to prove the negative RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours before travel departure.
