Deogarh Airport, Second Airport in Jharkhand, is now Operational

Jharkhand now has domestic airlines operating at the Deogarh airport. There are many reasons to visit Deogarh, including its religious and spiritual significance. Once the Directorate General of Civil Aviation has approved all formalities, including technical NOCs, and trials, the airport will begin operating flights.

It is 650 acres in size and was designed based on the Baba Baidyanath Temple in India, which is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas.

In addition to the airport in Ranchi, this is the second airport in the state. Several tribal art pieces, handcrafted items, and local sites adorn the terminal building. A total of 200 passengers can check-in at its six check-in counters. Various modern facilities are available, including 24-hour medical services. Deogarh Airport Director, Sandeep Kumar Dhingra, said, “We have a runway, which is about 2,500 meters long. The runway has a 45-meter width. There are four parking bases for A-320 & A-321 aircraft. The terminal has six check-in counters, security equipment, and CCTVs.”

In addition to its environmentally friendly aspects, the Deogarh airport is also equipped with a water harvesting system, and a solar power system.

Doctors will be able to fly into the airport, and it will boost the economy of the area in addition to boosting employment. Buddhism and Jainism are also popular religions in Deogarh.
