The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has announced new guidelines for international arrivals and requires all travelers to present a full vaccination certificate upon arrival in Thailand, Started as we reported earlier.

For flights arriving in Thailand on or after Monday, January 9th, all passengers over 18 must provide evidence of full vaccination.

Latest Guidelines For International Travelers in Thailand

Travelers are required to follow the guidelines below starting on January 9th at 1:00 a.m. and ending on January 31 at 4:59 p.m.

For passengers over 18 years of age traveling to Thailand, a vaccination certificate or letter from a doctor stating they are COVID-19-free is required.

Expats with Thai social security are exempt from this requirement if they are coming from a country that prohibits the return of COVID-infected people.

Passengers in transit are also exempt from presenting vaccinations and health insurance documents.

As a result, airlines are responsible for verifying that the required documents are presented and must refuse to board passengers without these documents.

Additionally, airlines must follow guidelines such as requiring passengers to wear masks throughout the entire journey, except during meals or in cases of emergencies. This is in order to prevent the spread of diseases.

When a passenger displays symptoms of COVID-19 while travelling, he or she will be advised to undergo a test upon arrival at their destination in order to be tested for COVID-19.

The fact that those who have not been vaccinated have to provide a written explanation from their doctor explaining why they are unable to receive the vaccination is worth mentioning.
