Nepal Tourism Board Declares 2024 to 2033 as Visit Nepal Decade

With the coronavirus pandemic hurting tourism, Nepal has declared 2024 to 2033 as the Nepal visit decade, focusing on the country’s tourism industry.

Today, Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Jeevan Ram Shrestha unveiled a tourism recovery action plan. Shooting your film in Nepal will cost you less with the new plan announced by the government.

The government is hosting an international tourism summit with ministers from South Asia.

The plan for Kathmandu valley also includes starting Heritage walks at night in the following cities: Kathmandu, Kirtipur, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur.

Tourism to Nepal’s dropped heavily as the COVID disease spread. However, as cases of COVID declined this year, over 50,000 tourists per month are visiting Nepal since the beginning of 2022.
