Kashmir is all set to Celebrate a 6-day Tulip Festival from 19th March 2024

April is the time for the famous Tulip Festival in Kashmir. For that, Kashmir is already engaged in preparing the celebrations of the Tulip festival. It will start on March 19th, and people begin to celebrate the spring season, which also speeds up the tourist arrivals in the state.

The festival remains for six days, and these six days are enough to showcase Kashmir’s old traditions and cultural activities to visitors. This time the festival is going to be inaugurated by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha of Jammu & Kashmir.

All the festival arrangements are carefully managed by the deputy director, of Tourism and publicity, Ideel Saleem.  He also explained the special evening of musical joy, where local and international artists will perform their talents. Moreover, a special set of 25 stalls will also be there to depict and promote the cultural cuisines and heritage handcrafted items of Kashmir.

She-i-Kashmir will be the center place to set up all sound and lighting systems. The most interesting part is, the Hari Parbat fort is going to illuminate on occasion.

Officials also stated that this festival is the finest opportunity to display the diverse culture and food of the valley, which impacts the tourism sector. Visitors can also get a chance to discover the live exhibition of handcrafted and handloom items of Kashmir’s people.

To promote this festival, various arrangements have been made to spread the news across the country to attract many visitors. Metro stations, shopping malls, and other busy public places are already marked with campaigns for the Tulip festival of the valley.

In May, the tourism department is also setting up another event of the houseboat festival. It is another iconic event and the main attraction for tourists around the globe. The houseboat will take place at the popular Dal lake.
