Update: Covid-19 Travel restrictions are relaxed in Italy

Travel relaxed in Italy

Italy has just relaxed its restrictions on Covid-19, the contagious virus that is sweeping the world.

It’s been almost a year since Covid-19 and many countries are easing travel restrictions. In Italy, as well, things are getting back to normal after the pandemic.

The latest travel guidelines have changed; now visitors won’t need to fill out the EU passenger locator form at the airport. It is a long and complicated process that will allow contact tracing to be easier to set up.

Earlier, you were required to get a Covid-19 Green Health Pass to go into public spaces. But with this recent legislation, that is now no longer the case. However, if you want to visit hospitals or nursing homes, you need to produce either a green pass showing proof of vaccination or a recent negative test result.

Italy is also making sure to remind people how important it is to wear masks. They’re continuing the mask requirement for public places like public transport, movies, and in all health care facilities, but taking them off inside malls, etc.

Italy is expecting a normal tourist season after two years of the flu and quarantines.
