October is one of the most rewarding months to explore Kerala’s hills. The heavy southwest monsoon has largely retreated, forests and tea plantations are intensely green, waterfalls still carry plenty of water, and the cooler mountain air offers a welcome contrast to Kerala’s coast and backwaters.<\/p>\n
