There has just been a new ropeway at the Surkanda Devi Temple in Uttarakhand, which should ease the way for tourists and devotees seeking darshan. A ropeway service between Kaddukhal and Siddhpeeth Devi was inaugurated by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who offered prayers at Maa Surkanda Devi Temple.<\/p>\n

According to Dhami, this ropeway will benefit visitors and devotees seeking the darshan of Maa Surkanda Devi. Formerly, they had to walk approximately two hours to get to the place, whereas now they can easily get there. In addition, he mentioned that this service will also benefit local people’s livelihoods, along with boosting adventure and religious tourism.<\/p>\n

According to him, such projects provide commuters and tourists with a major form of pollution-free transportation. He added that the state government is working on various ropeway projects in each district under the Parvatmala scheme of the Center.<\/p>\n
