flights would be lifted starting 18 October 2021.\u00a0In this way, domestic airlines will be able to operate their flights to full capacity.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement comes after the daily\u00a0domestic passenger traffic crossed the 3 lakh\u00a0mark over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Domestic airlines were allowed to increase their capacity of pre-Covid domestic flights to 85 percent rather than 72.5 percent last month.<\/p>\n<p>There were about 266,000 passengers on 2307 flights across the country on Monday.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/MiddayNews?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#MiddayNews<\/a> |<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/RAmZD70v9H\">https:\/\/t.co\/RAmZD70v9H<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Mid Day (@mid_day) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mid_day\/status\/1447889482452066315?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 12, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>As stated in a written statement, &#8220;After reviewing the current status of Scheduled Domestic Operations with respect to passenger demand for air travel&#8221;, the ministry has decided to &#8220;restore scheduled domestic operations without any capacity restrictions.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Following the outbreak of Coronavirus in May 2020, the Indian government imposed a cap on domestic flight capacity for about 17 months.<\/p>\n<p>However, air carriers\/airport operators must ensure that the guidelines on containing the spread of Covid are
