Tourists may now visit Puducherry because the government has agreed to reopen the city with a 50% capacity. As the infection rate has begun to decline, the destination has already begun to open its tourist sites as of July 16. While the government of Puducherry has prolonged the curfew till July 31, several tourist attractions such as the botanical gardens and Chunnambar Boathouse have reopened.<\/p>\n

“We decided to reopen tourist attractions with 50% capacity with strong instructions to comply with Covid-19 proper behavior,”<\/strong> Public Works Minister K Lakshminarayanan said in a statement.<\/p>\n

On Friday, the government-run Chunnambar Boathouse, a private boathouse, and other tourist attractions reopened. The collection at the government boathouse reached 89,000 on the first day of reopening. After the second wave of illness subsided, tourists began flocking to Puducherry<\/a> in large numbers. From this weekend forward, we may see Puducherry progressively returning to normality.”<\/p>\n

Apart from the destinations, the region has been given permission to reopen hotels, guest homes, and lodges’ pubs and restaurants.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the Puducherry administration has suggested launching a doorstep delivery service for alcoholic drinks within the territory.<\/p>\n

This has been proposed to minimize crowding in liquor stores, which might lead to more illnesses.<\/p>\n

Puducherry is also aiming to provide clearance for all operations in phases, according to Lakshminarayanan, so that all sectors can have a shot at the resurrection. \u201cIf people are unruly, we will resurrect specific wings like tourist police to guarantee compliance,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Tourism is, of course, vital to Puducherry, and it is as necessary to resuscitate it as it is to protect the safety of visitors and inhabitants.<\/p>\n
